30 Day Fitness Challenge

I'd love to hear how all of you are doing with the fitness challenge! Remember the three most important things in results-based fitness: Having a plan, consistency, and intensity.

So here's an update on my own progress with the challenge: As I previously shared with you all, my main goal at the moment is to prepare for the RKC kettlebell certification in mid June. One of the physical requirements is a snatch test - I need to be able to do 100 in five minutes. Here's a link demoing the exercise if you're curious: How to do the Kettlebell Snatch

I've had a structured plan - I've actually been doing the 'Program Minimum' from 'Enter the Kettlebell' by Pavel. The workout is centered around kettlebell Get-Ups and Swings. I've been consistent in working out five to six times per week, and I've been bringing great intensity to every workout.

Since I've been working almost exclusively with kettlebells for the last four weeks or so, I thought I would give the five minute snatch test a go to see where I was at this morning and to see if my hard work had been paying off.

I got 70 reps - which was great considering I could probably do about 40 or 50 when I started the program four weeks ago, and that I made a point of going about 50-60% intensity. I feel pretty confident that I could pass the test right now, but I still have an additional eight weeks to prepare, which makes me pretty happy.

So there's a quick update on my progress with the challenge ... how are your workouts going?
